According to a recent American Bankers Association survey, 43.5% of banks with less than $1 billion of assets say they offer an overdraft program, and many say they plan to introduce one (an over draft program) in the next year.
Historic milestone reached: "Use of electronic payment methods, including credit and debit cards, surpassed checks in the United States, according to a study by the Federal Reserve. Electronic transactions totaled 44.5 billion, compared to 36.7 billion checks." source CRM Daily
